Today’s Quote: We will open the book.  It’s pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and it’s first chapter is New Years Day. ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Today’s Affirmation: I seize my moment with enthusiasm and gusto.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: The more we relinquish our attachments to yesterdays and accept the unlimited fresh opportunities of each new moment the more we discover a universal generosity of spirit that would flood us with every thing of our desiring. Eventually we will come to know that every day is truly our New Years day and every opportunity is ours to seize. And as we get it we discover we only get more of it by giving it.
May this be the richest day of your 2010;
Namasté,

Today’s Quote: People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges. ~Joseph F. Newton

Today’s Affirmation: I willingly create a path into every heart I meet today.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: The greatest two challenges in building heart paths are in remaining free of judgment and sufficient in our own Divine connection. Do I know ‘God’ well enough to absolutely trust that the one showing up is God?
Today I am willing to discover my ‘Yes’.

Today’s Quote: To shorten winter, borrow some money due in spring. ~W.J. Vogel

Today’s Affirmation: I am fully present in the richness of this moment now.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: All debt we incur increases the possibility of anxiety and all anxiety removes us from the quality of the present moment. If we do not live in the moment then we do not grow in the joy of the moment. A joyless moment is lost forever; joy filled moments are cumulative and eternally with us.

Today’s Quote: Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man’s growth without destroying his roots. ~Frank Howard Clark

Today’s Affirmation: I give praise and hope; I encourage awakening always.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: Criticism is never necessary and only called for when requested; and then with reservation. Even when circumstances are perfect it must be delivered with a double dose of encouragement. The truth is that our very experiences are the exacting of balance for our every thought and action. Nature provides ample ‘criticism’ in the Law of Reciprocity and in the end each of us will take complete ownership for our joys and pains and love ourselves in all of our creations.

Today’s Quote: Your task in life is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it. ~Buddha

Today’s Affirmation: I give myself fully into my passion and all good comes to me.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: Our work is ultimately what we love to do. If we do not feel inspired to go to work in the morning then we have not yet found our true work and we are consequently jeopardising our well-being. None of us should ever stop looking for work until we find what inspires us enough to make the very activity a joy to return to day after day and year after year.

Today’s Quote: Keep on beating and sharpening a sword, and the edge cannot be preserved for long.
Fill your house with gold and jade, and it can no longer be guarded.
Set store by your riches and honour, and you will only reap a crop of calamities.

Here is the Way of Heaven: when you have done your work, retire! ~Tao Te Ching

Today’s Affirmation: I rest fully and completely in my peace, all is well in my world.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: Ultimately the things we own also own us, less accumulation is less responsibility and the world is a better place by our humble pleasures. I cherish my quiet time.

Today’s Quote: Christmas, my child, is love in action. Every time we love, every time we give, it’s Christmas. ~Dale Evans Rogers

Today’s Affirmation: I let my love pour forth with every thought and with every action today. It’s a wonderful habit.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: With every gift given, with every gift received and with every gift that someone wanted to give remember to unpackage the gift of love today. The day the world only sees love with every gift great and small will be the day that peace is truly realized upon earth.  Merry Christmas!

Today’s Quote:

May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,

The gladness of Christmas give you hope,

The warmth of Christmas grant you love.

~Author Unknown

Today’s Affirmation: The spirit of the Law is upon me. I bring love to my every action.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: The spirit of Christ-mas is the bringing of the consciousness of the Christ (Love made manifest) into the hearts of the masses. I choose for all my actions to be derived from this intention.

Today’s Quote: Christmas is not just a time for festivity and merry making. It is more than that. It is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving. ~J. C. Penney

Today’s Affirmation: I find in the true gifts of this season my eternal values. Who I am tomorrow is based upon what I see today.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: The greatest mistake spiritually committed people make this time of year is the mistake of seeing the wrappings and trappings of a commercial footprint at the cost of the true gifts back of all that tinsel and glitz. We walk around speaking of seeing the divine in the individual no matter what the appearance and then often get lost by the surface show of festivities and curse and gossip them while stroking our own righteousness. Where is the love, the joy and the peace in that? Today I choose to humbly remember the magic in the hearts of all I look upon.

Today’s Quote: I am the ocean.  All the worlds are like waves.  This is the truth.  Nothing to hold on to, nothing to let go of, nothing to dissolve. ~Ashtavakra Gita, 6:2

Today’s Affirmation: I am the ocean, I am the drop; I am the sense of an Infinite sensitivity; I am love.

Today’s Spiritual Contemplation: To know that I am Infinite potential, ever perfect and always becoming is to know joy beyond measuring.
